- Swipe each photo One photo fills the screen. Swipe down to keep it, up to throw it out, left to skip it. The next photo is already there.

Throwing a photo does not delete it. You have to ask three times before a photo actually goes.

Throw a hundred photos and all hundred are still on your phone, in a pile you can go back through any time.
You confirm twice
Nothing leaves until you empty that pile and confirm it, then confirm it again to iOS. It cannot happen by accident.
You get 30 days to undo it
Deleted photos sit in Recently Deleted for a month. You can pull any of them back. That is Apple's guarantee, not ours.

Answers before you start.
What if I throw out a photo I wanted?
Swipe right to go back to it and keep it instead. Throwing does not delete anything. The photo waits in a pile until you empty it, emptying it takes two confirmations, and after that iOS holds it for 30 days.
How much space will I get back?
That depends on what is in your library. A phone full of videos is a different answer from a phone full of screenshots. Keep measures it instead of guessing: it counts your library on the first launch and keeps a running total of what you clear.
Why does it need access to all my photos?
Because it sorts your whole library. With limited access you would have to hand-pick the photos to grant, and those are the photos you came here to sort.
Does it work with iCloud Photos?
Yes. Keep works through the Photos app, so albums and favourites sync the way they would if you made them by hand. Nothing is copied anywhere else.
I have 30,000 photos. Will it cope?
